today Norma Jean and i share far too much...all i can say is come sail away with me >>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAAHuZ3zhjo

A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me

Wow what a blast from the oast- I shared here very early on that I lied to my mom to go to my first concert- Styx the Grand Illusion tour (2nd show was Yes in the round for tormato)- any way, they were infinitely better in 79 than they sound here- but this is really not that bad- just too much "rock star" persona being taken on- Grand Illusion provided them the fame which blew the band apart pitting family member v. family member.

Nevertheless this was fun. And damn it- now I am going to have to look for some Supertramp on the tube.....

I can't stomach Styx either. I can sit through Come Sail Away and maybe a couple of other songs, but most of Styx induces the gag reflex for me.

Norma Jean? Meaning that, like the former Norma Jean Baker, today would be your 81st birthday? And how does Styx figure into that?

My own guilty pleasures of the Styx variety:
Blue Collar Man
Miss America (JY rocks, man.)
Too Much Time . . .
The Styx/Pat Benatar show we saw in Evansville, Indiana, several years ago.
